Adding the finishing touches to the nursery with Poster Store

*AD – Adding the finishing touches to the nursery with Poster Store is a sponsored post.

Time is moving so fast and before I know it, I will be holding my little girl in my arms for the first time. I’m so excited but at the same time, I feel completely unprepared, especially when it comes to how I want the nursery to look. Thankfully, I know just the website that will help inspire me and aid my interior design dreams – Poster Store. They are my go-to choice when it comes to prints and wall art. If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you will know that in my previous home, they inspired a gallery wall in my dressing room as well as other areas. Their selection of posters is so vast that the only difficulty I ever have is choosing what style I’d aiming for.

Why choose Poster Store?

It was a no brainer for me when it came to choosing kids posters for baby girls nursery. I didn’t really have any clue about what sort of theme I wanted to go for. All I knew was that I wanted it to look quite sweet and girly.

Under normal circumstances, that would be too broad a theme to search for. However, the Poster Store website is so easy to navigate and choose posters that fall within that ideal. They give you so much inspiration that designing your own gallery wall couldn’t be easier. I just love how beautiful and affordable their Scandinavian designs are and I just know you will too.

Interior design & the environment

When it comes to interior design, I often think how fast people change it within their homes. A lot of people I follow on social media seem to be changing the whole look of a room every six months. Personally, this worries me as to the impact all that constant changing has on the environment. Because of this, I want to buy high quality posters that can be used again and again.

One of the reasons I love Poster Store so much is because they aim to change consumer behaviour in the long term. This is something we should all be trying to contribute to, because we all have our part to play in protecting our environment.

Poster Store print on sustainably produced high-quality paper and is certified by Forest Stewardship Council and Nordic Swan. These certifications ensure that the wood used in all of their posters come from responsibly managed forests that meet the highest environment and social standards. In addition to this, short transport routes and smart logistics helps Poster Store to minimize their carbon footprint on the environment.

Choosing my posters

I’m not sure if it is just me that does this, but I add everything I like the look of to my basket as I’m scrolling through my selected category. For me, it just helps me to whittle down the kind of vibe I’m after. By seeing it all listed in one place, I can really see how it might pull together. Anything that doesn’t quite fit or I’m not sure about, I remove.

I find this especially useful because there is such a huge selection of different themes and categories for all tastes. Added to that, Poster Store release a new poster collection every Tuesday which means that there are constantly new styles to look at.

The outcome of me sorting through my basket was that there’s a definite animal theme going on. It therefore made choosing the final posters for the nursery so much easier. The Poster Store website really has made creating a gallery wall so much simpler.

My final choices

Once I’d picked the posters I liked, I couldn’t wait for them to arrive so that I could see them in the flesh. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Firstly, the turnaround and delivery of my order was outstanding. Within a few days, I had my order in my hands.

As I do with any website, the first thing I always search for is planes. If you know me well, you know that I live for aviation. When I spotted the adorable teddy in a plane, I knew instantly I needed it. To compliment it, I chose an animals in a hot air balloon poster. This tied in nicely with the animal theme whilst also adding the theme of “up in the sky”.

Of course, having a little girl, I’m so excited for all of the pink things. When I saw two cute bunny posters, I knew that would be the sweet and girly element I was after. They compliment each other so well. I want to create a little reading station for when baby girl is older and I know these will look great there.

Finally, onto the main animal theme and without even thinking much about it, it became an animal safari one. I simply fell in love with several safari prints that you can see in the photos. Added to that, I also wanted a quote and what better one to choose than “born to be wild”. I love that two of the posters have a learning theme to them. One has wild animals of the alphabet and the other shows a world map with where each of the animals come from.

Don’t forget the frames

I couldn’t write this post without mentioning the frames. I chose the oak wooden frames in an A4 size. This is what I have ordered previously and so I wanted them to match. The quality of these frames is outstanding, with Poster Store being my go-to place to get any frames. If oak is not your vibe, there are several alternatives so I’m sure you will find something to suit.

Final Thoughts

I’d love to know what you think of the kids posters I’ve chosen from Poster Store. With posters and frames for under £11, they are a great affordable way to restyle your home. I actually have a folder full of posters from Poster Store that I can use when I want to change up the décor. I know that these will last me for years to come. I feel like I have made an investment that will not only save me money, but will also feel like I’m doing my bit to protect the environment.

I’d highly recommend choosing Poster Store for your home. With amazing customer service and high-quality, affordable products, you will find the whole process stress-free.

  3. Congratulations on the new upcoming addition to your family. The bunnies in the umbrella are simply irresistable. I love the alphabet animal menagerie poster you chose for your reading nook. It reminds me of a book I adored as a child and would delightedly “read” it to anyone who would listen to me.
