AD – Items in the post have been gifted to me in exchange for being featured in my 5 things you need to clean today post. This does not affect any opinions stated within the post.
For many people, the arrival of Covid-19 has made them think more carefully about so many things. One of those things in what and how often objects are cleaned. Right at the beginning of this pandemic, we were told to clean door handles and letterboxes more regularly. Touch point cleaning in shops and other public places has also become so much better. Having worked in retail as well as been a cleaner, I can say that they definitely needed a more thorough clean.
I thought I would share with you 5 things that you should be cleaning regularly but that sometimes get forgotten. As you read any of the points I mention and realise that you haven’t cleaned it in a while, I hope you will do so once you’ve finished reading.
We use them everyday and yet when was the last time you have cleaned them? I know I have been guilty of this in the past too. Depending on what type of brush you own, depends on how you clean it. I have a tangle teaser which I find really easy to clean with just soap and water.
These can get grimy so quickly. We are touching remotes more now than ever before, with many of us being home most of the time. This means that you should be stepping up the cleaning. How many times have you eaten something like crisps for example and then you turn the channel over or change the volume. You probably do it more than you even realised.
This is one that a lot of people have admitted to not cleaning. Just because you have a sheet on your mattress, it doesn’t mean it will be clean. Over time, things will seep through and go onto the mattress. Whether its that cuppa you split whilst in bed or perhaps you’ve dribbled in your sleep without realising. You can hire mattress cleaners that work much in the same way as a carpet cleaner to do the hard work for you. Sprinkle some bicarb over the mattress before hoovering up which will neutralise any odours too.
We use our phones countless times a day. They can harbour so many germs and can become dirty over time too. When you think that you are then placing that same phone by your face when you make a call, its a horrible thought. That is where Smart Screen comes in.
Smart Screen is an antibacterial microfibre smartphone cloth that comes complete with its own pouch. It has antibacterial Silver Ion agent introduced into the weave process, leaving it effective for up to 15 washes. You can pick up your very own Smart Screen in a variety of colours for just £9.95.
A purses get so much use, constantly being taken in and out of our bags. They can be riddled with germs but with a simple wipe down with disinfectant regularly, you can keep those germs in check.
I hope you have found these suggestions useful. Is there any others that you would add to the list?
Don’t forget to check out the Smart Screen website.
