Mother’s Day Gift Guide

This year seems to be flying by. It only feels like yesterday that I was sharing my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide & Valentine’s Day Gift ideas posts with you. If you can’t already tell by the title, today I’m sharing some gift ideas for Mother’s Day. Here in the UK, Mother’s Day is celebrated on 14th March, so you still have a little bit of time to find something.

For obvious reasons, this year we can’t celebrate it as we perhaps might have done. Due to this, I feel like the gifts I give my mum need to be even more special. I have some amazing ideas to show you today and I’m pleased to say that they all come from small businesses. Now more than ever, small businesses need our help. I recently wrote a post all about how you can support small businesses. If you missed it, make sure you pop over and read it afterwards.

I don’t want to turn this post into a ramble, so lets get on with the gift guide.

Creative Nails

I’ve been buying from Creative Nails for a number of years now. They sell gorgeous hand painted press on false nails, with so many different options and sizes available. These would make an especially lovely gift this Mother’s Day, whilst the nail bars are shut. What is even better is that you can reuse these over again and they still look at good as new. Two of my favourites are the Matte Black & Gold set & the French Ombre set. There are so many different ones to choose from, you will be sure to find something you like.

I was very lucky to work with Carfume last year with their limited edition Christmas scents. Since then, they have really grown their range and have some amazing new scents that you will love. A lot of our moods can be determined by smell. If your mum spends a lot of time in the car or if you are planning on going for days out when we are able to, I’m sure you want the car to smell lovely. Perhaps Spa Day* will help you relax. Better still, why not treat your mum to the Mother’s Day Gift Set*. This is a great way of trying out some of the scents including Lady Million, Spa Day & Flowerbomb.

Suffolk Barn Company

Another great brand that I’ve had the pleasure of working with in the past, Suffolk Barn Company have released two gift hampers which are the perfect treat for our mums. The first one I wanted to mention is the Essential Hamper which includes the Miracle Salve gift set, a sensuous and nourishing salve with organic cotton socks and gloves for a truly decadent overnight tread. Added to this you get the Lavender & Camomile gift set, a lavender scented candle, cherry & almond biscotti and cherry & amaretto jam. If this wasn’t enough already, you also get ribbon and gift tag for your own hand-tied flowers (flowers not included)

The second hamper is called the Luxury Hamper and includes everything I’ve mentioned above. Added to this is a sumptuous cashmere and silk wrap which is available in cream, beige or black.

Flame Game Candle Company

This small business has only recently launched but they sell the most amazing candles and wax melts. Choose from five candles scents including Midnight, Harbour Mist, Oriental Spice, Cotton Dreams & Toasted Marshmallows. Each candle is 30cl and is vegan friendly. If wax melts are more your thing, you can choose from the following Coconut Milk & Honey, Smokey Fireworks, Toasted Marshmallow (available is pig or heart shaped), Harbour Mist, Pink Rose, & Cotton Dreams.

I wanted to keep this Mother’s Day gift guide short and sweet but I hope you have found some inspiration. Which is your favourite item?

  1. I LOVE those nails! Went and checked out the shop too, and what an amazing selection of beautifully painted nails. I cannot do much with polish, I am afraid, and at my rate, these may turn into a gift for me. πŸ˜‚
