If this pandemic has taught me anything, its to discover and appreciate what is important in my life. As a result, I’ve re-evaluating different areas and thought I’d share some of the positive changes I’m making to my life.

Letting Go Of Negativity
When the pandemic first started, communities pulled together and really supported each other. As time has gone on, we have all divided again and there is a lot of negativity surrounding that. Some people are sticking to the rules, whereas others aren’t and of course there are consequences of that for everyone. I’ve chosen to now distance myself from things like this because no amount of me worrying or getting worked up over it is going to change that. Going forward I’m going to pay less attention to what other people are saying and just do what makes me happy.
Respect My Body
When it comes to food and drink I’ve had a very damaging relationship and know over the years I’ve put a lot of stress on my body. Going forward, I’m making sure I eat better and drink plenty more water. I’ve had so many issues as a result of lack of nutrients and fluid and the only person that can change that is me. I’m not going to stop treating myself but I’m definitely going to eat a lot more goodness in between.
Take Time Away From Social Media
I absolutely love the blogging community and spend a large part of my day on social media. I’m going to be making a conscious effort in the future to take more breaks and just live in the moment. I’ve got a daily routine to keep on top of everything but I need to work some breaks into that to focus on other things.
Find More Free Things To Do
I really want to get outside and find free things to do. Not only will I be getting fresh air, I’ll also be saving money too. There are so many free activities to do and I feel like I’m not really taking advantage of them. A local beach is doing weekly beach cleans and I think something like this could be a good activity whilst giving back to the community.
Talking About Important Topics
I have always be proud of my little space on the internet. Its my platform that I can use to help others and I try to share new hacks and tips as I discover them. Added to this and my product reviews, I would love to include more topics such as health related posts. I’ve already written a post all about my experiences with the contraceptive implant, which will be published soon. I’d love to know if there are any other topics you’d like me to include.
I know this post has been a bit of a ramble but I wanted to share with you some of the positive changes I’m making to my life. There are a few more that I could add, but for now I want to keep them private. I’d love to know if you have made any positive changes as a result of the pandemic, so leave me a comment below.

These are great changes to make in your life. Something that I want to change is to spend more time with my family. It seems like I never get to them because I’m always busy with work and my studies.

I think taking time and reevaluating ourselves periodically is key. It’s so easy to fall into a routine and slide into poor habits.
Nice job taking some time to look at you and make some adjustments. I’m in the process of doing this too!

Great points! Taking time away from blogging is something that I’ve started doing a lot more of as well. At the beginning of the pandemic I ended up spending SO much time on social media and working on my blog and it definitely got to be too much. Now I take regular breaks and it’s been so beneficial 🙂 x

All of these are so important. I too have been trying to respect my body. I will be 30 in a few short months and I am vowing to be more fit, active, and food conscious. Sugar has been something I can’t seem to quit for the longest time, but since Covid I am well on the way. Caring for ourselves is important before we can care for anyone else.

The Pandemic has definitely leveled the playing field for every one. It did not see race, color or economic status. It taught us to appreciate the small things’ but it also increased our screen time usage that consequently negatively impacts our mental health.

Amazing things to think about. I feel like people could use more of the great art of letting go, much like I myself. Same goes for the respecting of my body, I mean, it’s the only one I got so I better take care of it, right? And my mind, I should really try to take breaks from my devices every now and again. Thank you for this lovely reminder!

I love ramble posts, Kelly, and find yours marvelously focused! Thank you for sharing some of the small things you are changing in your life to move forward more positively. I never thought of a beach clean as an activity until reading this and love the idea of combining enjoyment with giving back.
I have been on a liver cleanse for the past several weeks and it has been eye-opening to get a conscious look at what I used to eat. I do not intend to give up treats either but I have a good idea of what balance needs to look like. 🙂
Best of luck and may the words flow!

Love this post Kelly. I think the pandemic has really made a lot of us reflect on how we’re living our lives and the changes we need to make. I’ve felt incredibly off these last few months and neglected so many of my positive routines etc and it’s really taken it’s toll. I’m slowly getting back to them and I can already feel the difference x

It’s very nice blogpost. These are the features we forgot before Covid. Because thinking negatively and feeling worthless will not do us any good. If we reduce the use of social media, great changes can happen in our lives. Thanks.
