With the Easter holidays fast approaching, sorry parents, here are some spring activities to do with the kids. Spring can be very hit and miss when it comes to the weather, so I’ve tried to include things on this list for good or bad weather. Things not on the list, such as play make believe or go swimming, are still great options. However I’m hoping this list will give you some more ideas. It’s always a good idea to check online for any events in your local area too! So without further ado, here are some Spring activities to do with the kids:
Head outside
- Bike Ride
- Play ball games such as Kerby, Catch or Football
- Go for a walk
- Play nature bingo. This ties in with going for a walk. Have a list of things you might see on your walk and tick them off when you spot them.

Have a day out
- Visit a museum
- Visit a zoo
- Go to an animal sanctuary
- Visit a farm
- Go fruit or flower picking
- Go to the seaside
- Go to a theme park
Have fun at home
- Host a family come dine with me experience. Get everyone involved in making the food etc
- Make a cosy inside den from blankets, pillows and fairy lights
- Bake and decorate cupcakes
- Have a scavenger hunt
- Play the memory game. Simply put some items from around your home on a tray, cover after 20 seconds and see how many you can all remember!
- Play a board game
- Play the animal game. Choose a letter and go round in a circle naming as many animals as you can starting with that letter. If you get it wrong, your out. See how long you last!
- Have a film day
- Play party games such as musical chairs
- Have a dance off
- Plant some seeds

Get Crafty
- Paint or draw a Spring inspired picture
- Make paper aeroplanes and race them
- Paint rocks with Spring themes
Easter Inspired
- Easter egg hunt
- Bake and decorate Easter biscuits
- Make an Easter bonnet
- Paint hard boiled eggs
- Easter themed colouring
So that brings me to the end of this list. I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and have found some Spring activities to do with the kids. Are there any more that you would include? Leave them in the comments below for others to read. If you are local to Somerset / Devon, check out my YouTube channel where I include lots of vlogs of days out.
