How To Create Your Own Bespoke Lashes

*AD – Items mentioned have been gifted to me in exchange for inclusion in how to create your own bespoke lashes post. You can read my full disclaimer here.

When it comes to make up, I love experimenting and trying out different looks. However one thing I’m not as confident with is applying false eye lashes. When I’ve bought packet ones, I’ve usually worn them for a couple of hours. After that I have then felt like I wanted to take them off because they felt too fake. I’d spent the best part of thirty minutes applying them in the first place. As a result I just stopped wearing them altogether.

I’d love to be able to afford lash extentions but currently that is out of my budget. I also wouldn’t want to get started with them to then find out we are going back into Lockdown. The ideal solution would be something that I could do myself at home. A product that I could make more bespoke to me. This is where Lash Ribbons come in…

What Are Lash Ribbons?

Box of bespoke lashes from Lash Ribbons

Set up in June, Lash Ribbons are new and innovative DIY lash extensions. Each lash ribbon is roughly 15-16cm in length, which gives you approximately 2.5 sets of lashes. You can create your own bespoke set of eyelashes that nobody else is wearing. Lash Ribbons give you the option to create so many different looks. You could add as segments, strip lashes or just a small cluster to give an added lift to your own lashes, the choice is yours. They can be applied above or underneath your own lashes to give the desired look you are after.

How Do They Differ From Other Lashes?

Lash Ribbons not only allow you to create your own bespoke lashes, they also last 10-14 days without you having to redo them. The thought of waking up in the morning with no worry of where my lashes are is great. Let’s face it, we have all probably woken up with one strip last stuck to the pillow.

My Thoughts

I was very kindly sent the D Curl ribbon with thin black band to test out. I have done a Reel of me applying them so that you can see how I got on. It was a little tricky the first time I tried it but I think that was more down to me being a novice. After a couple of tries, I soon got the hang of it.

One thing that really surprised me was how soft the lashes are. I’ve had some in the past that feel so harsh but the Lash Ribbons are nothing like that. There also is hardly any weight to them and I forgot I was wearing them on more than one occasion.

For the amount of Lash Ribbon you get, I definitely have to say they are so affordable. I’d expect to pay so much more for the amazing quality you get. The bonding glue is like a magical formula because it just works so well.

Final Thoughts

If you like the sound of Lash Ribbons and creating your own bespoke lashes, I’d highly recommend picking up the Starter Kit. This comes with everything you will need including 12mm lash ribbon, lash bond, underlash applicator, pair of scissors, a spoolie, micro swabs and an informative step by step instruction card. All of the Lash Ribbons and adhesives are 100% vegan friendly. Please remember to do a patch test before using any adhesives.

  3. I have a love hate relationship with my lashes!! I feel like I’m fighting a battle with them. These look great! And I love that you mention they’re really soft as I’ve had ones before that feel so rough and fake. I also can’t believe they last so long!

  4. I’ve never worn any kind of false lashes before and I’m probably unlikely to start but I was so intrigued by this post and had to see what this was all about, haha! They look really good and I can see how people who wear falsies would really like these especially as they last for longer. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Yea I’ve seen you trying out makeups. Well, I personally have not done lashes ever over my preference. I just curl them and put a good Mascara and I’m done. Fake lashes do look fake no matter how thin you wear them but it’s just my preference. I’ve seen these lash product. I think this is the second one I’ve seen. They look much natural and better than fake ones for sure and look great on you. Good review you did. Xx

  6. I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but it sounds like a great way to do lashes at home and also quite easy to use from what I can see from the reel. They looked amazing on you x
