A few weeks ago, I shared my first Halloween inspired post of the year. If you haven’t seen it already, head on over to find out How To Make This Ceramic Pumpkin Dupe. I wanted to get creative and make a few decorations for my home and so I am back with another crafty post. This time, I wanted to make something that would decorate the fireplace in the living room. Its the focal point in the room and because we don’t use the fire, I like to dress it up each season. Keep on reading to find out how to create your own Halloween inspired pompom bunting.

You will need:
- Pompom Maker
- Wool
- Felt
- Googly Eyes
- PVA Glue
Creating The Halloween Pompoms

Step 1
Join the two pompom maker parts together in an open formation and start to wrap the wool around one half. One this is quite full, you want to do the same to the other half until they are both equal. Once they are full, close the pompom maker and secure with the clips provided.
Step 2
Use sharp scissors to cut around the edge of the wool until it has been cut all the way around. Take a separate piece of wool and wrap it tightly around the two rings. With this, I like to double wrap it and then tie it securely in a knot.
Step 3
Undo the clips and take your pompom out. Its up to you if you want to tidy up the ends slightly but make sure you leave the longer piece of wool so that you can attach it to the bunting later on. I personally decided to leave the edges uncut to give it that “scary” look. Repeat steps 1-3 until you have the desired amount of pompoms. I made ten in total for my bunting.
Step 4
Its now time to get decorating the pompoms. Cut out the felt into a scary mouth shape and glue into place. Next up, stick on the eyes and leave to dry.
Step 5
Once the decoration is fully dry, take a length of wool and tie each of the pompoms onto it, using the longer piece of wool you left on them. Then all that is left to do is hang it up in your home.
