One of the things I love most about having my blog is sharing with you new products and services as I discover them. I know a lot of you have similar taste to me, so I know the chances are, you will love them as much as I do.

Today is one of those days when I get to share a new discovery with you. I can’t wait to share my thoughts on the Kelly Love’s Sushi Making Kits, but firstly, here is a little bit more information on the brand.

Who is Kelly Love’s?

Founded by Kelly Choi, Kelly Love’s is on a mission to bring the best of Asian food to the world. They combine their heritage in Japanese and Korean food, cultures and traditions to bring you authentic food, treats and recipes for you to enjoy at home.

Tell me about the sushi making kits

Whether you are a sushi lover or a sushi newbie, the sushi kits are perfect for you. Each kit contains quality ingredients and tools so that you have everything you need to get started. Once you have made them once, you will no doubt want to make them again. The starter kit is priced at £13.30 whilst the complete sushi kit comes in at £19.40. For even more, the Ultimate Sushi Kit costs £36.70.

My Thoughts

I was very kindly gifted the ultimate sushi kit to try out. The kit contains everything you need to create a whole range of exciting and flavour packed sushi rolls and maki. It includes toppings such as fried onions, ginger and wasabi. All you need to do is add your choice of fish or vegetables and get making. The kit also includes a super stylish bento box to present your home made sushi and keep it fresh.

In my kit:

Sushi rice
Sushi vinegar
Spicy mayo sauce
Wasabi
Fried onions
Ginger
Bento Lunchbox with bamboo lid

In addition to this kit, the Kelly Love’s team also sent me their Aloe Vera drink, Seaweed Rice crisps and Crispy Nori snacks in both the original and wasabi flavours.

When it comes to sushi, I am a complete beginner. Therefore I feel like I can share my review with you through fresh eyes. Starting off with the kit itself, it made it really easy to get started. The Kelly Love’s packaging has full, clear instructions on each item so you know exactly what you are doing. From cooking the rice, to choosing and rolling your ingredients, everything felt simple. In truth, I didn’t expect it to be as easy as it was.

Having never tasted sushi before, I didn’t really know what it would be like. I chose to make vegetable ones for me whilst my mum chose fish ones. It was simply down to personal preference. We both agreed though that the quality of the ingredients felt and tasted amazing. It felt very Pinterest worthy putting our creation in the Bento box at the end.

What about the snacks?

Onto the snacks that I was kindly sent. I have never tried an Aloe Vera drink before but I actually really liked it. I’m not sure I would drink it all of the time, but I will definitely get some more as a treat every so often. The snacks are different though. I would definitely eat them daily if I could. I wasn’t a fan of the wasabi flavoured one but I expected that anyway because its not my kind of flavour. My favourite is definitely the seaweed rice crisps though.

Overall would I purchase either the kit or the snacks? Yes, I definitely would. I think they are great value for money and super delicious too. I think its great that you can buy the ingredients individually too on the Kelly Love’s website. It means that when I run out of an ingredient, I can just order it again.
